Where is the best place to park.
The closest car parking is at Park & Go Mooloolaba on the Corner of Smith Street and First Avenue, Mooloolaba, Qld, 4557. Enter Via Brisbane Rd (next to the Colombian Cafe) or Smith Street off Muraban Street from Walan Street.

How old do you have to be to go on the Aquaduck?
People of any age can ride the Aquaduck, even babies. Child rates are available for 2-16 years. 0-1 years are free on their parent’s lap.

Can I go on the Aquaduck if I am pregnant?
This is completely up to you. The ride is bumpy and maybe uncomfortable from time to time. Many of our tour guides have been pregnant working on the duck up until 9 months but it’s up to you.

Do you operate if it’s raining?
Yes, we do. The vessel is fully covered and in wet conditions, we have clear pull-down sides to keep the water out.

Will I get wet on the tour?
No, you will not get wet on the Aquaduck ride.

Do you have storage for luggage and strollers?
Unfortunately, we don’t have storage for luggage or strollers at our departure location. You may find storage lockers at The Wharf.

Is it safe? What if I can’t swim?
Yes, the Aquaduck is very safe. You don’t need to swim as we will be keeping you onboard the whole time. We also carry life jackets on board in case of emergency and our trained staff will assist in this situation.

Does it cost extra for kids to drive the Duck?
No. Once we are on the water, the skipper will offer all children the opportunity to have a turn at driving the Duck if they wish. If they choose to do so, they will be presented with the Aquaduck Captains Certificate personalised with their name. This is free of charge and part of the Aquaduck experience.

Is it wheelchair accessible?
The Aquaduck vessels are not wheelchair accessible, unfortunately. There are 5 steps to climb into the Aquaduck. If you can do the stairs our team are happy to assist you into the duck.

Service dogs are permitted onboard.

Can we eat or drink on the duck?
Water bottles are accepted onboard, however, no other food or other drinks.

Where are the closest toilets?
The closest toilets are at The Wharf.

Is the Aquaduck ride a river cruise or a city tour?
Lucky for you it’s both! As we are a bus and a boat you get two tours for the price of one. The Aquaduck tour spends approximately 40mins on the water and 20mins on the road.

We are Australia’s first amphibious Duck Bus City Tour, we commenced operations in 1996 and are now a famous Gold Coast icon.

Originally it was a one bus operation called Surfing Safaris, with one tour desk in Orchid Avenue.  In the year 2000, the company changed its name to Aquabus and a second bus joined the fleet.

Bus 2 was the first bus to look like a duck and therefore Aquaduck was born.

In 2018 the Aquaduck changed ownership. The new team of owners are highly knowledgeable and experienced in the tourism industry with a background in successful tourism experiences. With this new ownership comes a new focus on improving the quality and depth of our commentary, more international friendly tours, improved customer support services including international language, a waiting area and souvenirs,  instant online bookings, and improved operational efficiency.

Operating 7 days per week with a minimum of 5 tours per day.

Child policy applies for 2-16 years. Infants 0-1 year are free of charge when sitting on parent’s lap. Infants MUST be booked to ensure capacity is not breached

Guests must check-in 20 minutes prior to departure time
there is no luggage/pram/stroller storage at the departure point of Aquaduck

Guest must obey all reasonable written and verbal instructions and warnings given by the Operator, including but not limited to, the use of all safety equipment provided and safety procedures

Guests accept all risks and liabilities from his or her participation which could result in loss of life, permanent or temporary injury and loss or destruction of property

Eating, drink, and smoking are not permitted whilst aboard, or whilst embarking or disembarking the vessel, vehicle or facility

Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund
